Chapter 1: A New Car Lemon Story

"We checked the semi-craniflanset and the dynamic flatulence interchange modulator
on our new billion-dollar diagnostic device.
No problem was found, Mrs. Jones."
Ten days later the representative at the third dealership called Mrs. Jones and reported that the specialist, after exhaustive tests, found nothing wrong with the vehicle.
No More Visits: They Try Arbitration
At work, Mr. Jones related the story of his car difficulties to a co-worker. The co-worker said, "My attorney might be able to help you. Here’s his number. Give him a call."
Instead, they decided to call the Consumer Hotline one more time. This time Mr. Jones asked, "What’s this about the lemon law? Do we have rights? Do we qualify?" The manufacturer’s agent replied, "No, you have to go through arbitration first"17
In California and some other states this is another lie.
